My name is Jeremy Mikkelsen and I am the new lead pastor here at Lacey Chapel. I was born and raised in Tillamook, Oregon 36 years ago, and yes, I do like cheese. Neither of my parents believed in God, thus I grew up as an atheist. It was not until university that I came to know Jesus personally. I married my wife Carri in 2002, and we have three elementary aged kids.
We both received Bible degrees from Ethnos 360, a missional church planting organization. I also have an engineering degree from Oregon State University and after graduating I worked as a bridge designer for several years (yes, I even have a PE license in OR & WA). Afterwards, our family served the Lord abroad with a NGO in Latin America– my kids and I speak Spanish (they better than I). Prior to coming to Lacey Chapel in 2019, I most recently served as the Executive Pastor of Northwest Hills Community Church in Corvallis, Oregon.
Our family has been deeply blessed by our walk with Jesus, and I am excited to have the opportunity to share from our walk, to teach truth, and lead the church family of Lacey Bible Church as we together do good deeds, build good will, and share the good news about Jesus with Lacey, the greater Olympia area, and around the world.
